This is where you maintain your list of Approved Players and set the commands that can be used by these players.

Remote Admin allows you to enable other players to administer your server without the need to give them your rcon password. This allows Approved Players to executed certain admin commands whilst they are in the game using the normal chat message function.

Remote Admin will only work if you have your PBUCON Console configured correctly and Live Chat Monitoring is running.

Approved Player List

This is a list of players approved to use Remote Admin. You may have up to 50 approved players. The Player Number and the players GUID are read only. The players name is only shown for your reference and you may edit it. You can enable / disable each player individually.

To add a player to the Approved Player List go to the LCM tab. In the Live Chat Monitor player list identify a the player you wish to add. Double click on the player and you will be asked to confirm that you want to approve the player. Players are added to the player list when join records are added to the LCM chat list as a player joins the server and at the beginning of each new map.

  • Delete Player - Delete the selected player from the approved player list.
  • Apply Changes - After making changes to the approved players list click Apply Changes.
  • RA Immunity - When enabled Remote Admins will be immune from having their chat monitored for the use of bad words.
  • Allow Remote Admin - Enable / disable the Remote Admin facility.
  • Allowed Commands - Enable / disable the commands that will be available to your Approved Players.
  • Remote Commands - A visual reminder of the chat commands that Approved Players can type whilst in game.

Remote Admin Commands

The commands are issued as chat messages. Do not enter the commands into the console they will not work. Use team or global chat it does not matter which. Commands can be issued when the player is alive, dead or spectating it does not matter. The commands are not case sensitive. (Use big or little letters it does not matter.) When you type the <parameter> do not include the pointy brackets <>.

Tips:

The player ID or slot number used with the KICKID, TEMPBANID and the BANID commands is the PunkBuster player slot number. You can find the PunkBuster slot number for a player while you are in the game by typing /pb_plist into the console, the results will be displayed in the extended console. This slot number is different to the COD4 player slot number that you see when you use the status command.

For a player to be able to use in game Remote Admin commands the following conditions must be true:

  • RconMax running and connected to the server.
  • PBUCON running.
  • Monitor Chat is checked.
  • The player must be showing in the Player List on the PBUCON tab.
  • The player is in the Approved Player list and is Enable is checked.
  • Allow Remote Admin is checked.
  • Allow Commands is checked for each command that is to be allowed.
